Is Christ being formed in you?

My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, I would like to be present with you now and to change my tone; for I have doubts about you. Galatians 4:19, 20 NKJV.

Formed, morphoo, Strong’s # 3445: To form. Schema and morphoo are in bold contradistinction. Schema (English “Scheme”) points to external form or outer appearance. Morphoo and morphe, its related noun, refer to internal reality.

Gal. 4:19 speaks of a change in character, becoming conformed to the character of Christ in actuality, not merely in semblance.

    Love the picture, Manny.

Your question is a good one. Once again the God inspires Paul to use the perfect Greek word. All can look good on the outside but, if the internal reality is godless, a person is lost.

Thanks for another nugget my friend…

Reminds me of what Reinhard Bonnke once shared. He and his wife were shopping for dishes in a very nice shop in West germany. He wondered around and noticed one employee watching him with a curious look on his face. Bonnke asked him whats up? The man replied “i can’t help noticing your eyes they are so inviting, what is is about your eyes that does this?” Oh, Bonnke replied, “Jesus lives in me and sometimes He likes to come up and look out the window.”
