Israel in Her Quiet Time.

Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will see the land that is very far off… Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; your eyes will see Jerusalem , a quiet home, a tabernacle that will not be taken down; not one of its stakes will ever be removed, nor will any of its cords be broken.

But there the majestic Lord will be for us a place of broad rivers and streams, in which no ship with oars will sail, nor majestic ships pass by (for the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us);your tackle is loosed, they could not strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail. Then the prey of great plunder is divided; the lame take the prey.

And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick;” the people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity. Isaiah 33:17, 20-24.

Isaiah prophesies about the coming King and His reign of peace. Jerusalem is likened to the tabernacle in the wilderness, but its stakes and cords in the coming quiet time will never be disturbed as the Lord dwells permanently among His people. This historically speaks of Jerusalem’s recovery from Assyrian invasion, it also points to an eschatological soon coming truth. See Zechariah 8:1-17.

Zechariah as the most Messianic of OT prophets reminds the armies and nations who are against Israel, for thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me (speaking of Messiah being sent from God as the Lord of glory), after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple (pupil) of His eye…”

It seems to me that whenever anyone attacks Israel, it is actually a blasphemous assault against God Himself. What these plunderers fail to see is that they will in turn be plundered by Israel.

    I agree, my friend.

Anyone foolish enough to attack Israel deserves what they have coming!

Israel (Jerusalem) is the “apple of His eye” and I, for one, would not dare to come against them.

I am looking forward to the day when the King comes and peace reigns.

What a day that will be!

    God’s blessings…
