For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
Powerful, energes; Strong’s # 1756: the ability to act or produce an effect, capable of doing, engaged in work, active, powerful, effective. This word is comparable to our English word “energetic,” which stems from this word.
Energes, is used only in 1 Cor. 16:9 which says, for a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries. In Philem 6, we have: that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus. Energes means something at work, active, effective, and powerful.

Another great verse, Manny.
God’s word is powerful. When I am anxious, I think of verses from the Sermon on the Mount: “Do not worry about your life…” and others.
No question that it is “sharper than any two-edged sword.”
Thanks for another excellent word study.
By the way, I really like your pictures.
