Judah the Lord is Praised.

And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing. Genesis 29:35.david_danced

Judah, yadah; Strong’s #3034: “Judah” means “Praise,” and out of this man comes a great tribe of Israel. To confess, to proclaim, God’s attributes and His works in thankfulness and in blessings unto Him.

This is one of the most important praise verses in the Bible. Genesis 49:8-12  Jacob speaks awesome words over Judah, giving him the highest blessing. His brothers will praise him. He will triumph over all his enemies. Verse 10 says Judah will have royal authority (scepter) and legal authority (lawgiver) and will bring forth the Messiah.

Out of Judah, through David, comes the Christ, who in every action and detail is a praise to the Father (Luke 3:23-33). The tribe of Judah (Praise) led Israel through the wilderness (Num.2:3,9). They led in the conquest of Canaan (Jud.1:1-19). They are the first tribe to praise David, making him king (2Sam.2:1-11).

This is excellent, I haven’t had a chance to take a deeper look but what I’ve seen so far is very good

    Very interesting, Manny.

I guess it should come as no surprise that Jesus came through the line of the son whose name means “praise.”

    Important verses, indeed!
