“The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He brought them out of it.” Acts 13:17.
Strangers, paroikia; Strong’s #3940: Aliens, foreigners, strangers, sojourners, noncitizens dwelling as resident exiles. Israel sojourned in Egypt on a paroikia basis. The Israelites permanent home was and is Canaan.
1 Peter 1:17 uses paroikia in the spiritual sense. We as Christians live temporarily as aliens in an unfriendly world. The Lord has prepared for us a final home based on permanency, duration, and endless time.

There is no question. We are strangers in a strange land.
God’s blessing, Manny.

We share in Israel’s former place of being strangers. Not for long —though.
