Diligently Searching For God.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13.Prayer 3 girls
Search, darash; Strong’s #1875. Defined as a following after, a close pursuit, search, to seek or ask, diligently inquire. Many places in Scripture speak of God’s people seeking after Him. The implications in these passages speak of a quest for God that includes a level of intensity beyond what we might call ordinary prayer.
The word “search” in Hebrew (darash) along with the phrase “with all your heart” suggests a search that is very close to desperation. In 2 Chronicles 15:2, Azariah promises the Lord will be with His people if they “seek” (darash) after Him-here is another indicator of God’s emphasis on intensity and diligence in prayer.

This verse is very similar to my favorite as a youth:

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matt. 6:33

I wonder what the word seek (Hebrew/darash) is in the Greek?

Thanks for more light from the pot, Manny.
