Spirit speaks to Spirit; is your spirit speaking to God?

But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6.

John 3,8

Spirit, pneuma: Strong’s #4151. Breath (Rev.11:11), breeze, a current of air, wind, spirit (Heb. 1:7;John 3:8).

Pneuma is that part of a person capable of responding to God. Qualifiers are awareness of separation from God, because of sin, repentance leading to acceptance of God’s free gift of salvation (Eph. 2:8,9) believing Jesus Christ is the only redeemer.

The gift of the Father is the person of the Holy Spirit of God the third person of the Trinity, who draws us close to Christ, convicts us of sin, enables us to accept Christ as our personal Savior, assures us of salvation, enables us to live the victorious life, understand the Bible, pray according to God’s will, and share Christ with others. rom7-6

Freedom from the law does not mean license to sin, but servitude to God. In the newness of the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit gives power to obey God, a power the law by itself could never give.

Whenever I feel I nice breeze, I think of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God gifts us with all of the things you have mentioned. What power there is in these gifts!!!

    Thanks Manny.
