And in that day you will say: “O Lord, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and you comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation,’ ” Isaiah 12:1.2.
Yah, Strong’s # 3050. The shorter form of the Lord’s holy name Yahweh, or Jehovah. This shortened version appears 50 times in the Old Testament. This name appears forty four times in the psalms, the six left over are found in Exodus and in Isaiah.
In many of the psalms the compound word Hallelu-Yah, are translated “Praise the Lord”; the word literally means, “You must all praise Yah!”
