Jesus, Is He Related To You?

“For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:50.

Will, thelema Strong’s #2307. Used objectively of that which is willed, designed, or desired. “Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matt. 18:14. Jesus said, ” And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.” Luke 12:47 as well as John 5:30.

Subjectively used of the emotion of being desirous: And he released to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will. Luke 23:25. In 1 Peter 3:17, For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

In regards to our salvation. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right (authority) to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13.

The word is used both of the human will and the divine will.
