Love in Action

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:10.

In the day, when we ask Jesus to forgive us our sins, in which we also repent of those sins and invite Jesus into our hearts we are awakened to His grace. Our “God of all grace” freely gives to us all that Christ accomplished in His death and resurrection.

Grace is God’s love in action on our behalf, extending to us His forgiveness, His acceptance, His favor, and brings His presence as the operating power of heaven to meet every need of our lives.

In this awakening of His grace the “manifold grace of God” begins to restore wholeness. (Greek katartizo, “to restore, to repair, to perfect (a process of maturation) to complete, to mend and equip”).

It also establishes a solid foundation for our security in which the truths of His unconditional love are experienced. This awakening provides the ability to stand firm, knowing His strength in our inner man enables us to live triumphantly. Herein we also enter into His “rest” and the fullness of His promises.

To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
