Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be fulfilled. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.” Luke 18:31-33.

Insulted, hubrizo; Strong’s #5195. Try a comparison, “hubristic” and “hybrid.” Definition: to insult; to treat arrogantly, and injuriously; to commit an outrage against. It is abuse out of control, acts hard to control, shamefully, and with affront.
Jesus not only received this treatment from His enemies, but warned His followers not to be surprised when they received the same treatment. “And the rest seized his servants, treated them insolently, and killed them” Matthew 22:6.

Oh, what He went through for us! It is amazing how many O.T. prophecies Jesus fulfilled. It is one of the greatest evidences for Christianity.
“And the third day He will rise again.”
Hallelujah!!!

I have heard around 800. It is sad to me that the people of Israel never were able to see the Scriptures the way our lord wanted them to see. They seemed to never truly draw strength and wisdom form them.
He walked among them and they believed Him not.
